Excuse for the rather large size of this image, it is over 3MB anyway (3.25MB to be exact).
ANYWAY, this is the 2D rendition of the Level I created for my Multimedia Games Design and Development 3 part of my course, I created this as a template before I constructed the level in 3D.
Oh and for those that download the full sized image, you'll be able to tell that I've used Metroid Fusion Sprites, for the purposes of Scale and level design. I used Main Deck sprites for walls, ceilings, doors and platforms, I also used Samus basic Suit to simulate the player character whilst the SA-X sprite for enemy characters.
Metroid Fusion Sprites belong to Nintendo.

intriguing! I myself am developing a metroidvania type of game, and I am struggling to map a nice level layout for the game. This is a nice example!
